Fishbone

November 22nd, 2012

Fishbone is a band of rock legends hailing from Los Angeles. They have been touring full time for over twenty five years and have been a major influence on some of the biggest names in music today, all while maintaining a grassroots integrity. Their genre-bending sound and high energy live show has won them legions of devoted fans across the globe. We caught up with them while in town to play the Voodoo Festival, and took a pleasant Sunday stroll along the “Oompaloompa River”, known to most others as Bayou St. John.

New Orleans Bingo! Show

June 14th, 2012

The New Orleans Bingo! Show is the side project of Preservation Hall Jazz Band singer Clint Maedgen. It is an vaudevillian mix of music, theatre, burlesque, and circus themes, all centered around an actual bingo show. You should not, however, expect to see this band at your local community center or retirement home. A true display of artistry in multiple mediums, Bingo! Show is the only band to have their own stage at the New Orleans Voodoo Festival.
